Coach Stephanie Morgan

Coach Stephanie Morgan has been a passionate runner since the age of 9, with a remarkable career that spans from youth running to elite competition and coaching. A former All-American youth cross country athlete and standout at Dorman High School, Stephanie continues to hold school records to this day. Her exceptional talent led her to Clemson University, where she competed in cross country and track, specializing in the steeplechase.

After college, Stephanie transitioned to road races, competing in distances ranging from the 5k to the half marathon while pursuing her degree in physical therapy. It was during this time that she discovered a love for triathlon training, expanding her athletic repertoire to include cycling and swimming building upon her running background. Her personal athletic journey includes impressive adult PRs:

  • 1 Mile: 5:10

  • 5k: 18:18

  • 10k: 38:09

  • Half Marathon (13.1): 1:21:57

  • Marathon (26.2): 2:57:52

  • Ironman 70.3: 4:37:35

As a coach, Stephanie has extensive experience working with youth and high school athletes, fostering a love for running and helping them unlock their potential. She is also deeply involved in the Spartanburg community, where she is involved in group runs at Rockers Run Club and the all-women's group WingIt Women, building an inclusive and supportive environment for fast females.

Stephanie’s professional journey extends beyond coaching. As a physical therapist specializing in Pelvic Health with Limitless Therapy and Wellness, as a coach, she combines her athletic experience with her medical expertise to help athletes with assessing running gait analysis, proper milage progression and integration of specific workouts to improve performance, and achieve their goals.

Now, as a mom of two children (ages 7 and 9), Stephanie’s approach to coaching is rooted in family and community. Being “patient with the process” post-partum and prioritizing efficiency with mobility, stability, strength, and appropriate mileage is what keeps her healthy physically and mentally. She believes in the power of running not only as a way to challenge ourselves, but also as an activity that brings families together and strengthens community bonds.

Looking ahead, Stephanie is focused on her personal goals for 2025, aiming to chase down her PRs and compete in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, Spain, where she will represent the United States in the 35-39 age group. With her wealth of experience as an athlete, coach, and physical therapist, Stephanie brings a unique and holistic perspective to her coaching, helping runners of all levels achieve their best—whether they are just starting out or pushing for new personal records.

Coach Patrick Morgan

Coach Patrick Morgan has been immersed in the sport of running from an early age, growing up in a family deeply involved in community races. From his earliest days, running was not just a sport but a family tradition. Patrick began his athletic journey as a youth, competing in both cross country and track, alongside his passion for soccer. His talent quickly became evident, and he soon found success as a middle-distance runner. His high school career culminated in an impressive 3rd place finish at the Indoor National Championships in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54, setting the stage for his collegiate career.

At Furman University, Patrick continued to hone his skills as a middle-distance specialist, excelling in both cross country and track. His determination and training led to personal breakthroughs, including his standout achievement during his indoor season where he ran a personal best of 4:01 in the mile. Patrick’s passion for running didn’t stop at the track; it extended into his academic journey, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Appalachian State University. This further education allowed him to deepen his understanding of the science behind running, which he now shares with his athletes.

Patrick’s career path extended beyond athletics, and he furthered his professional journey by obtaining a nursing degree, specializing in cardiac nursing. His medical expertise enriches his coaching, enabling him to offer unique insights into the body’s mechanics, recovery, and injury prevention.

Now an active member of the Spartanburg running community, Patrick’s involvement goes beyond just coaching—he is committed to nurturing and supporting local athletes through group runs and youth programs. As a coach, he is known for his patience, encouragement, and ability to motivate athletes of all levels. Whether working with youth runners or coaching soccer, Patrick’s approach is rooted in support and positive reinforcement, making him a beloved and effective coach.

Patrick’s own competitive journey continues to push boundaries, as he has transitioned into ultramarathon distances. His impressive race history includes completing five 50k, 50-mile, and 100-mile races. Among his accomplishments, one of his major goals is to run at the Western States 100-Mile Race, one of the most coveted ultramarathons in the world.

His dedication to his athletes, his community, and his own personal growth makes him a coach who motivates and inspires, encouraging everyone to chase their limits and achieve their personal bests.
